Was at SM the other day for my first and last Christmas gift shopping for 3 nieces. I gave one of them this:

The voter’s registration has been extended until Jan. 9, 2010. Tentative opening date is on Monday, December 21. As of the previous deadline set, 49 million citizens have registered to vote for the May 2010 election.

It’s only 10 days until Christmas but it feels like it’s nowhere near at all. I have seen the crowd in the “tiangge’s” and night markets. The traffic is at its worst. Street kids don’t even make an effort to bang that tin rhythmically when singing carols.

National Geographic just released their Top 10 Discoveries of 2009. The Philippines made it on the list not just once, but twice. Yaay to us. One is an ultra-rare megamouth shark and the other one is an “extinct” bird. Apparently, those 2 scientific finds were eaten to oblivion.
