Seemingly Wet Halloween as ‘Santi’ Draws Near
Looks like it’s going to be a rainy Halloween for us here in Metro Manila and the rest of Central Luzon. Typhoon “Santi” (international codename: Mirinae) is seen closing in on our already clobbered island and is expected to make landfall tomorrow night. Storm signals are already declared in some Luzon provinces.
I really am hoping that this typhoon Santi won’t bring as much rain as Ondoy or Pepeng. I am one of those lucky people whose place didn’t get devastated by the flood. The water in our street didn’t even go anywhere near higher than the ankles. I might not be lucky the next time. I can only imagine what it might be like for those who are already ravaged and still picking up the pieces of what is left of them.
This is PAGASA‘s satellite image for today as of 1 p.m.:
Trivia: Typhoon Santi’s international name, Mirinae is a Korean word for ‘Galaxy’.
